The spiritual mandate of Bishop Joshua Lwere is to disciple nations through holistic transformation, renewal, and revival, anchored on prayer. He is deeply passionate about this calling and suitably gifted and called into the ministry of teaching, deliverance through prayer, and national transformation across all spheres of society.
Bishop Joshua Lwere has faithfully carried out his ministry for over 30 years, both locally (in Uganda at the grassroots and at the national level), and internationally across the globe through: training, mentoring, and coaching Heads of State and Government; leaders across all arms of government at various levels (Executive, Judiciary, and Legislature); religious leaders across all faiths and denominations; traditional and cultural leaders; academicians and; marketplace leaders across various sectors.
The Bishop Joshua Lwere (BJL) Foundation was set up as a vehicle to advance his ministry.

- Inspire and equip national leaders at various levels across all spheres of society with an intentional desire to align their service with the godly ethos of stewardship, work-ethics, integrity, and servant leadership.
- Advance a culture of accountability in leaders at all levels, that cultivates a sense of humility to recognize that everyone is primarily accountable to God for their actions, and that these actions carry eternal consequences.
- Spearhead the design and implementation of innovative interventions that are catalytic in nature for the sustainable social, economic, and political transformation of nations.
- Foster strategic partnerships and alliances with governments, government agencies/ institutions, faith-based organizations, foreign missions, philanthropists, and investors; to advance cooperation, synergy, and resource sharing.
